Invacare ® is proud to announce its new highly maneuverable and compact manual wheelchair: the Invacare® Rea® Dahlia®. The Dahlia® has it all, in a slim, modern design, tilt options and easy adjustability. For those seeking mobility with comfort, and pressure release, this versatile chair is perfect for passive and active users.
One platform – two models
The Dahlia®is constructed using the unique, stable Rea® frame. It features two tilt angles of either 30° or 45 °, which improves the positioning capabilities as the tilt and recline options reduce pressure concerns. The high pivot point of the chair – the DSS function - minimizes deep tissue damage by reducing shear forces as the back and backrest work together, enabling weight shift and stability in the tilt movement.
Our engineers have redesigned the Dahlia® with the wheels in close proximity to the frame, reducing the overall footprint of the chair to give the dimensions of an active wheelchair. This makes it lighter to push and easier to position, gaining access to smaller spaces. The result is a truly ergonomic chair that maximizes mobility.
An ideal chair for foot propelling
The 30° tilt option is suitable for more able clients who can readily propel themselves. The seat height can be as low as 32.5 cm, allowing the possibility to foot propel. Using the “self-tilt” version, clients can actively change posture at will, quite easily.
Weight shifting with ease
The 45° option provides greater tilt possibilities, delivering excellent pressure relieving properties, which support the client’s most vulnerable areas. The unique construction of the tilt mechanism makes it light to adjust, requiring little muscle force.
Component -Cross-Compatibility at its best!
As with most of Invacare’s manual wheelchair models, the Dahlia® offers high levels of cross-compatibility across product families. In conjunction with the extensive range of Invacare® accessories, the prescriber can build and adapt a chair to the precise requirements of the client.
Dahlia®is truly the new generation of quality tilt-in-space chairs, focusing on the changing needs of the client. We believe that it should challenge the way you think about mobility, independence and freedom in relation to passive wheelchairs. For those who are looking to push back the boundaries, participate, live life and be active for as long as they possibly can, we can help make that a reality.
